Cinnamon Essential Oil or Cinnamomum zeylanicum is obtained by steam distillation of the leaves of the cinnamon stalk.

This species of cinnamon is the oldest of all, it is already mentioned in the treaty of Emperor Shen Nung (2700 BC) under the name of Kwei. The ancient Egyptians used it against epidemics and in the embalming of their mummies. In the Bible it is mentioned that God ordered Moses to take with him to Egypt: myrrh, cinnamon and olive oil. Arab merchants sold it to the Greeks and Romans trying to keep its place of origin a secret. This caused other routes to be sought and the route to India and Ceylon via the Cape was discovered, made in the 16th century by the Portuguese. It has been traditionally used in the East against the flu, digestive, rheumatic, renal, menstrual problems and as a general stimulant.

It has various cosmetic properties: it is antimicrobial, stimulates microcirculation and astringent. It also provides positivity, mental focus and calm. Helps in cases of nervous exhaustion and stress.

It is a basic essential oil to be used through the olfactory route as a stimulant, energetic and relaxing. Enhancer of the will to live, especially if combined in synergy with orange and/or bergamot.

Cinamaldehyde, Eugenol, Cinamyl Acetate

INGREDIENTES: Cinnamomum Zeylanicum Bark Oil. Contiene/contains: Cinnamic aldehyde, Eugenol, Linalool, Benzyl benzoate, Limonene, Cinnamic alcohol, Benzyl alcohol, Coumarin*.

*Natural ingredients of the essential oils.

SKIN APPLICATION:

• Body Use only: we recommend a proportion of 97% Carrier Oil plus 3% Essential Oil, which means 6 drops of Essential Oil per 10 ml. of Carrier Oil.

APPLICATION METHOD:

• Diffuser: the use of diffusers without heat such as the ALQVIMIA Flask is recommended, since heat modifies the properties of essential oils. Use a maximum of 10 drops of Essential Oil Preparation in the diffuser.
• Bath - jacuzzi : dilute a maximum of 10-15 drops of Essential Oil in bath water.
• Steam Inhalation: apply a maximum of 5 drops of Essential Oil Preparation on a saucepan of hot water with approximately 1-2 liters of water, and inhale covering the head and the saucepan with a towel, to keep the steam for longer.

Cautions: Topical use. Avoid contact with your eyes and other sensitive areas. Keep out of the reach of children. Consult your doctor before using during pregnancy, breastfeeding or with any other medical treatments. Some essential oils are sensitive to light, so don't expose skin to the sun after use. Store in a cool (<25ºC), dry place, away from light. Flammable.
