ELEMI ESSENTIAL OIL

This Elemí Essential Oil has been obtained by steam distillation of the resin exuded by the Canarium luzonicum tree, native to the Philippines. Its aroma is reminiscent of sacred odors although with fresher and lemony notes. This essential oil is a great ally for the skin and can be used on oily and/or acne-prone skin thanks to its healing and antiseptic properties.

Elemi resin is a pale yellow substance with a consistency similar to honey, from which aromatic oils are distilled that belong to the same botanical family as frankincense, myrrh and palo santo.

The Elemí Essential Oil that is used in aromatherapy is extracted from the Canarium luzonicum and its geographical origin is of vital importance, since it is known as Elemí de Manila. This tree grows in abundance in the Philippines and its resin is highly rich in the essence that is extracted from it. INGREDIENTES: Canarium Luzonicum Gum Oil. Contiene/contains: Limonene.

SKIN APPLICATION:

• Facial Use: we recommend a ratio of 99% Carrier Oil plus 1% Essential Oil. This translates into 2 drops of Essential Oil for every 10 ml. of Carrier Oil.
• Body Use: we recommend a proportion of 97% Carrier Oil plus 3% Essential Oil, which means 6 drops of Essential Oil per 10 ml. of Carrier Oil.

APPLICATION METHOD:

• Diffuser: the use of diffusers without heat such as the ALQVIMIA Flask is recommended, since heat modifies the properties of essential oils. Use a maximum of 10 drops of Essential Oil Preparation in the diffuser.
• Bath - jacuzzi : dilute a maximum of 10-15 drops of Essential Oil in bath water.
• Steam Inhalation: apply a maximum of 5 drops of Essential Oil Preparation on a saucepan of hot water with approximately 1-2 liters of water, and inhale covering the head and the saucepan with a towel, to keep the steam for longer.

Cautions: Topical use. Avoid contact with your eyes and other sensitive areas. Keep out of the reach of children. Consult your doctor before using during pregnancy, breastfeeding or with any other medical treatments. Some essential oils are sensitive to light, so don't expose skin to the sun after use. Store in a cool (<25ºC), dry place, away from light. Flammable.
