The Essential Oil of Geranium or Pelargonium graveolens oil, extracted from the leaves and stem of the plant, is one of the most prestigious oils in the world thanks to its powerful properties. It helps to shape the bust and is an aid in slimming treatments.

The geranium is native to South Africa and was first mentioned in Europe in 1690. There are more than 200 varieties of geraniums or pelargoniums, but very few varieties are distilled for essential oil. The Egyptian geranium is one of the most prestigious in the world and recognized for its multiple properties. The Geranium, and specifically the botanical species Pelargonium Graveolens, is a plant capable of surprising with one of the most valuable essences in the world of perfumery and cosmetics, as it has a sensational aroma that makes it different and particular from the others. Its fragrance confers a floral, fresh, sweet touch with a fruity note in perfumes. For all this, geranium is considered one of the most important ingredients in perfumery.

The etymology of its name derives from the Greek name geranos or crane, since the geranium seeds have a shape similar to the beak of this white bird. On the other hand, graveolens refers to the strong and intense aroma that it gives off.

SKIN APPLICATION:

• Facial Use: we recommend a ratio of 99% Carrier Oil plus 1% Essential Oil. This translates into 2 drops of Essential Oil for every 10 ml. of Carrier Oil.
• Body Use: we recommend a proportion of 97% Carrier Oil plus 3% Essential Oil, which means 6 drops of Essential Oil per 10 ml. of Carrier Oil.

APPLICATION METHOD:

• Diffuser: the use of diffusers without heat such as the ALQVIMIA Flask is recommended, since heat modifies the properties of essential oils. Use a maximum of 10 drops of Essential Oil Preparation in the diffuser.
• Bath - jacuzzi : dilute a maximum of 10-15 drops of Essential Oil in bath water.
• Steam Inhalation: apply a maximum of 5 drops of Essential Oil Preparation on a saucepan of hot water with approximately 1-2 liters of water, and inhale covering the head and the saucepan with a towel, to keep the steam for longer.

Cautions: Topical use. Avoid contact with your eyes and other sensitive areas. Keep out of the reach of children. Consult your doctor before using during pregnancy, breastfeeding or with any other medical treatments. Some essential oils are sensitive to light, so don't expose skin to the sun after use. Store in a cool (<25ºC), dry place, away from light. Flammable.
