LEMON ESSENTIAL OIL

The Essential Oil of Lemon or Citrus Limon peel oil, extracted by the expression of the peel of the fruit, with antioxidant and anti-wrinkle power, stimulates the mind and provides clarity of thought.

Lemon essential oil is extracted from the fruit of the lemon tree. This fruit tree is native to the vast steppe zone of Central Asia, north of the Himalayas. In this dry and sunny region, the oases inhabited by tribes of semi-sedentary nomads offered in ancient times the best conditions for growing useful plants such as the lemon tree, thanks to the abundance of water that could be found there. Soon the high civilizations of neighboring countries (Indians, Chinese and Persians) also discovered the refreshing fruits of the lemon tree and acquired knowledge about its cultivation and use. Greek and Roman traders brought the lemon tree from Persia to the West. Today it can be found throughout the Mediterranean area.

The essential oil of lemon is one of the Essential Oils richest in vitamins, the Essence is obtained by pressing the outer part of the pericarp or rind of the fruit. 4,000 lemons are needed to obtain 1 Kg. of Essential Oil.

SKIN APPLICATION:

• Facial Use: we recommend a ratio of 99% Carrier Oil plus 1% Essential Oil. This translates into 2 drops of Essential Oil for every 10 ml. of Carrier Oil.
• Body Use: we recommend a proportion of 97% Carrier Oil plus 3% Essential Oil, which means 6 drops of Essential Oil per 10 ml. of Carrier Oil.

APPLICATION METHOD:

• Diffuser: the use of diffusers without heat such as the ALQVIMIA Flask is recommended, since heat modifies the properties of essential oils. Use a maximum of 10 drops of Essential Oil Preparation in the diffuser.
• Bath - jacuzzi : dilute a maximum of 10-15 drops of Essential Oil in bath water.
• Steam Inhalation: apply a maximum of 5 drops of Essential Oil Preparation on a saucepan of hot water with approximately 1-2 liters of water, and inhale covering the head and the saucepan with a towel, to keep the steam for longer.

Cautions: Topical use. Avoid contact with your eyes and other sensitive areas. Keep out of the reach of children. Consult your doctor before using during pregnancy, breastfeeding or with any other medical treatments. Some essential oils are sensitive to light, so don’t expose skin to the sun after use. Store in a cool (<25ºC), dry place, away from light. Flammable.
