Lavender Essential Oil, or scientific name Lavandula angustifolia (lavender) oil, is obtained from the steam distillation of fresh floral tops and is one of the most versatile and widely used Essential Oils. Balances emotions and altered skin.

Lavender Essential Oil balances altered emotions and generates peace and harmony, purifying the environment of bad vibrations and energies. It favors spiritual development, integrating spirituality into daily life.

Its name comes from the Latin "lavare" which means to purify. The plant is native to the mountains near the Mediterranean. Today it is grown in many parts of the world, especially in France, Bulgaria, Russia and Spain. Dioscorides already recommended it in ancient Greece and Saint Hildegarde von Binen said that it helped maintain a pure character and attitude. It is one of the most versatile and used Essential Oils. To obtain 1 kg of Lavender essential oil, 250 kg of freshly picked flowers are necessary.

SKIN APPLICATION:

• Facial Use: we recommend a ratio of 99% Carrier Oil plus 1% Essential Oil. This translates into 2 drops of Essential Oil for every 10 ml. of Carrier Oil.
• Body Use: we recommend a proportion of 97% Carrier Oil plus 3% Essential Oil, which means 6 drops of Essential Oil per 10 ml. of Carrier Oil.

APPLICATION METHOD:

• Diffuser: the use of diffusers without heat such as the ALQVIMIA Flask is recommended, since heat modifies the properties of essential oils. Use a maximum of 10 drops of Essential Oil Preparation in the diffuser.
• Bath - jacuzzi : dilute a maximum of 10-15 drops of Essential Oil in bath water.
• Steam Inhalation: apply a maximum of 5 drops of Essential Oil Preparation on a saucepan of hot water with approximately 1-2 liters of water, and inhale covering the head and the saucepan with a towel, to keep the steam for longer.
• Sauna: dilute a maximum of 2 drops of the Essential Oil Preparation for every 500ml used in the sauna.
• Air freshener spray: dilute a maximum of 25 drops of essential oil with 250 ml water to make an air freshner spay.

Cautions: Topical use. Avoid contact with your eyes and other sensitive areas. Keep out of the reach of children. Consult your doctor before using during pregnancy, breastfeeding or with any other medical treatments. Some essential oils are sensitive to light, so don't expose skin to the sun after use. Store in a cool (<25ºC), dry place, away from light. Flammable.
